Even if we buy a license, we're supposed to have written permission to trap or hunt. The form is on DNR.
I buy a license anyway. I always did like to support my local clubhouse.

I am almost positive u need a trapping license unless it is your own property. All fur bearers are covered under one license. U need to have a number when selling furs to buyers.

If it's not your personal property you need a license. As for a number to sell furs. Idk about that. I have never been asked for a number in the 35 years or so that I have been doing it. Maybe some fur buyers ask, idk about all of them.

I ship to nafa. There is a spot on there for license number. It isn't needed but I put it just in case.

I thought you had to have a trapping license even on your private property, I have now seen that you don't.

I thought you had to have a trapping license even on your private property, I have now seen that you don't. I thought you needed one to sell the fur According to the Hunting guide trapping is covered the same as hunting and fishing. I don't know about needing one to sell hides though. I've never sold any.

I have sold with and without a license. You don't need it as I trapped my own property but since I set on other properties last year I bought one. I actually put my sets out today and while I only have six out it is enough to keep me busy. I have taken 20 plus off my farm the last two years and this year is the first there are not many resident ones. I am not going to set it until later in Jan as the start breeding and searching more.
