What are the legalities as far as trespassing goes? I don't tie of from anything and decoy weights don't touch the ground. I've been told 2 different answers let's see if we can make it 3...thanks

You may have gotten two answers because it is different based upon the type of river.
If it is a non-navigable waterway as defined by Indiana Code, you must have permission from the landowner or it could be considered trespassing or hunting without the consent of the landowner if you, your boat, or any other item touches the bottom.
If it is a navigable waterway as defined by Indiana Code, you can legally remain within the normal high water marks. If you go outside the normal high water marks, you would need permission from the respective landowner whether you are touching bottom outside the normal high water marks or not.
Let me know if that clears it up.
