Couldn't get any fox or yotes up this morning but did get a fat boar coon to come out to my rabbit in distress call. Sixty yards, dropped like a sack of taters.   |

You do know if you take an hour or so to skin,flesh,stretch and dry that hide properly you can almost get your money back for that round you expended! Wade |

Been playing with the idea of getting a 22 mag for a lil while now but ended up with a 17 hmr instead. After doing some research I'm beginning to wonder if the 22 mag wouldn't have been a better choice for fox/coon. Certainly sounds like it made quick work of that one lol. May end up with one yet

I am toying with the idea of carrying the pmr-30 as a defensive handgun.I am acutely aware of the poor marksmanship when in an armed confrontation and the idea of having 30 rounds in the weapon and being able to carry a couple extra clips in your hip pocket comfortably really appeals to me.That's 90 available rounds!They are lite weight and so is the gun.They are the only handgun cartridge I know of that can penetrate a bulletproof vest and a lot of the bad guys are using them these days.And I got enough ammo at my disposable to get tired of pulling the trigger all in one package.The downside is ammo runs $13 a box of 50. I get 223 or even 17hmr cheaper.
Just a thought, and still thinking!

May end up with one yet 17 is more fur friendly. 17hmr will drop a yote no problem, within reason of distance of course. |
