Has the INDNR looked into what big bore air rifles can do? .40cal and up 250-300ft lbs is plenty to humanely take a deer. (Michigan is .40 and up) I've read Illinois has just put it through as well. Other states are adopting air rifles into the regs for deer. My hope is to help educate just how capable these big bores are. Other states like Virginia and Missouri have also added them to legal methods. Indiana is a great place for airgun hunting with our regs but the whitetail deer is the missing species.
Thanks and if there is any way I can help or let someone check out one of my big bore air rifles. I would be happy to help out.

I have not heard of any pending rules to allow air rifles for deer hunting.
