Who out there is a die hard yote hunter?

Well I figured I would share this story with everyone.

I have 2 guys working on my house lets call them Jim and Mike. Well one day a little while ago Mike and Jim were working and Mike was having a problem with his sawzall. I didn't think much of it and then a little later I thought I seen Mike knelt down in the drive way and I was assuming he was working on his sawzall.  Then about a minute later I hear a gun shot.  Me thinking Mike got mad at the sawzall and shot it, which I just kind of chuckled to myself that he would do that.  Come to find out Jim was laying in the prone position in my driveway and had just taken a shot at a coyote he seen out in the field around 250 yds away.  Which in and of itself wasn't that big of a deal to me, then I realized that he shot across a county road in an attempt to get this coyote.

It was at that point that I realized Jim has been afflicted with hunting coyotes. And as the disclaimer goes, "no animals were harmed in the making of this story".

Well it's not legal to so that "shoot across a road" but if there were no other people around then I would look the other way if he was trying to kill a damn coyotes. I wish that more people would shoot them and limit or lower their numbers. They are a challenge to see let alone get a shot at one. They are smart critters and normally will shy away from man. But that's changing as their numbers increase and they get more use to being around man and our properties.

I've been trying for,crap,maybe 8 or 9 years,not sure,maybe not quite that long,still haven't gotten 1. Course, I've only got a few properties to hunt and they're not all that great,plus I'm lucky to get out much. Shoot the last 3 years I've only made it out once each. Keep planning on getting out more but the weather and other things always seem to come up. Still wouldn't shoot across the road though.
