Is there an age at which a youth hunter does not need a license? Also does apprentice license cover all hunting?

If a youth is only accompanying an adult hunter in the field and not participating in the hunt, they do not need a license until they are 13 years old. I have posted the Indiana Code below that addresses this.
The Youth Consolidated Hunting License, both the regular and apprentice, allows the youth to hunt all species in season without having to purchase additional licenses. It also includes all required stamps.
For all other licenses (for those over the age of 17), are species and season specific and the apprentice license would be the same. For example, an apprentice deer archery license will only allow for the taking of one antlered or one antlerless deer with archery equipment.
Let me know if you have any additional questions.
IC 14-22-11-1 (b) An individual may not take or chase, with or without dogs, a wild animal without having a license, except as follows: (4) An individual who: (A) is less than thirteen (13) years of age; (B) does not possess a bow or firearm; and (C) is accompanying an individual who: (i) is at least eighteen (18) years of age; and (ii) holds a valid license; may chase a wild animal without having a license.
