Is it legal to pitch a tent on lakes like brookville, Monroe etc? I assume someplace like Monroe where ground is HNF its legal. Curious about other lakes

On DNR property an individual can only camp in designated camping areas. If other property, such as Hoosier National Forest, you can camp in accordance with that property's regulations.
