LaPorte county was considering a law that would prohibit discharging a firearm within 1,000 feet of a residence in unincorporated parts of the county, but it sounds like that has been put on hold for the time being. However, the issue has prompted some questions asked by friends and family that I didn't have the answer for.
The biggest unanswered question is this: Is there any state law that prohibits hunting wildlife from a deck or porch attached to a dwelling out in the country (ie: not within town or city limits)?
