If I put a kids water pool in the middle of a food plot and leave it, letting it fill with water from the rain, is this baiting if you hunt near it?
If yes, how far away do you have to be to not be baiting? For example out of shooting range but still within line of sight?
thanks for your input.

I have posted a portion of the Indiana Administrative Code below that defines what is considered "bait." Rain water alone would not be bait. However, if something were in the container or added to the container which would be dissolved in the water would have an impact on whether it would be considered bait or not. For example, if mineral supplements or salt were placed in the container and "accidentally" dissolved in the rain water, this could be considered bait. Water alone would not be viewed as bait.
bait, which includes: (A) a food that is transported and placed for consumption, including, but not limited to, piles of corn and apples placed in the field; (B) a prepared solid or liquid that is manufactured and intended for consumption by livestock or wild deer, including, but not limited to, commercial baits and food supplements; (C) salt; or (D) mineral supplements;
