Thanks for your help on this site Morrison
We own acreage that we hunt on. My daughter wants to sit with me this year and she is unsure if she would shoot a deer. My question is could she hunt on a landowner tag? I am assuming if she decides to hunt/shoot it should be under an apprentice license? Or a land owner? She is 8 yo and we plan to take hunter Ed in 2-3 years.
Any feedback appreciated.

If the acreage you own is farmland, your daughter can hunt the property without a hunting license under the exemption for the license requirement. The Hunter Education requirement is to purchase a hunting license. While the Hunter Education is always highly recommended, an individual is required to have Hunter Education to purchase a hunting license. If the person is exempt from needing a hunting license, the requirement is not applicable.
