Hi. My son has been with me squirrel hunting on an apprentice license. He has since passed the hunter's ed course and is eligible for youth license. He is 15 and shows excellent woodsmanship. Does the 'proximity requirement' apply to youth licenses as well, or is he ok to be out of sight a bit while squirrel hunting? Thank you.

A youth license allows the individual to hunt without being accompanied.
