If I am hunting in Marion county then it is my understanding that I am hunting in a deer reduction zone. Does that mean that I need a deer reduction license and that I have to kill a doe before I can take a buck regardless of the weapon season? Meaning that if it is archery season and I am hunting archery not late season gun.

You can use a firearm, muzzleloader, archery, crossbow, or reduction zone license to hunt in a reduction zone depending upon the season and local ordinances. If you are using a firearm, muzzleloader, archery or crossbow license, you do NOT have to shoot an antlerless deer before you take an antlered deer. If you take an antlered deer using the firearm, muzzleloader, archery or crossbow license, even if you are in a reduction zone, the antlered deer counts as your one antlered deer limit. If you are utilizing a reduction zone license, you must take an antlerless deer before you take an antlered deer. The antlered deer taken under a reduction zone license, after you take an antlerless deer under a reduction zone license, does not count towards the one antlered deer limit.
