I just put a trolling motor on my kayak so I need to register it which normally can only be done at a branch (not online). Since the BMV is closed will I be ticketed if I use it between now and when the BMV opens again? Thanks.

Our officers are aware of the various circumstances impacting registrations on boats. They are using great discretion when dealing with issues arising from registration. If encountered, explain your situation to the officer and the situation can be resolved in a reasonable manner.
