Looks and sounds real good!
We are kind of in a slump with cooking. Cant seem to find anything new that we would all like. So a lot of repeats, still tasty, just getting boring every now and then.
Sounds like you make a very nice variety.

Totally forgot to take a pic after it was done. Thought about it well after. 16 hour smoke and man was it delicious. 9.5 pounds and this is all that was left. All 4 kids went back for a second round about 3 hours after we ate.

Looks great treetop!
I did a small pork shoulder for bbq yesterday. I really got it down pat now. We found, once the smoker is up to temp, 225deg for 19hrs, yields 200deg meat temps. Just perfect! Mix of apple and hickory chips is a good blend.
I just cook it straight thru. We like the bark and fat blended all together in the meat. I have tried wrapping it, injecting, spritzing, letting it rest in a cooler wrapped in towels. Just too much work for little return, in our opinion. Just remember, a scoop of Cole slaw on the sandwich of bbq is to die for!
Today was bacon wrapped chicken breasts, burgers, corn, and zucchini slices on the grill. Turned out ridiculously good!

I’ve only ever cooked it straight through. Never injected, wrapped, or anything. Just the way we like it. Everyone has their own ways of doing things though. I have 3 racks of ribs out to try on the Orion smoker tomorrow. Only a 45-60 minute cook time, so I’m curious to see how they turn out. Be the first time for ribs on that smoker.

Well, with the rain we’ve been getting today I just decided to use the electric smoker for the ribs. The Orion gets too hot to put on the porch or in the garage, so I can’t use it if there’s rain because the rain don’t mix well with the charcoal. Getting ready to put them in now.

Sure seems like that’s a short time on ribs that smoker must put out some serious concentrated heat and smoke
I don’t always inject or use rubs I just try different stuff now and then see how it comes out. One these days I’m going to try a pie just to see how it turns out
