Lost my wallet a while back as well as my lifetime carry permit. I’ve gone online to try and get a replacement and update my contact info. It seems like it just keeps taking me back to applying all over again with a $75.00 fee as well. Do you need to physically carry the permit on you or will it show up while running your drivers license and suffice? Thank you for your help in advance.

The Indiana Statute does not require an individual to have the carry license on their person. However, if the resources available to the officer are limited or inaccurate, at the time of the encounter, the officer will deal with the issue and the burden of proving the person has a license shifts to the person claiming to have the license. Having a license with you is a matter of your convenience. It is recommended and encouraged for a person to have the license with them.
