When you say the sunset provision was removed, you're saying rifles are legal for private land in 2020?

Yes. When the statute was originally enacted, it had a sunset provision of June 30, 2020. If the legislature did not remove the sunset provision, the law would be void as of that date. The legislature amended the statute during the session and removed the June 30, 2020. It made the law indefinite until it is repealed down the road by the enactment of another statute.
