Is Hunting allowed at Grouse Ridge Public Fishing Area?

Is hunting (of any type) allowed at the Grouse Ridge Public Fishing Area, located in the southwest corner of Bartholomew County, and the state owned land surrounding the lake?

These sign pics at the entrance to the property are what is leading to my confusion:

Hunting is allowed at the Grouse Ridge property. However, firearms and bows are restricted from being discharged in the area of the public access site. I hope this clears up your confusion. Let me know if you have any additional questions.

As with all Fish and Wildlife Areas managed by the Division of Fish and Wildlife, the use of the bonus antlerless deer license is prohibited.
