So this will be my first year bow hunting in about 15 years. I just ordered some arrows, but my question is this: If my draw length is 28.5", how long should my arrows be? I ordered 30". Would they be fine or should i have them cut down some?

I thought most shops will set up an arrow that sits about 1 inch over your arrow rest. So your are 1.5". I say close enough. Remember there is a width in the arrow rest. So 30" might be just right.

Just remember, the arrow length is the shaft only. Don't measure the nocks. That's a rookie mistake I had made before.
