Google "little calumet river basin developement commission", go to website a d scroll down to hunting permit. Form must be filled out by SEPT 7! so go there today! This was from a DNR enforcement officer, i asked specifically about small game and he got right back to me.

Rat = skinny tail and not much in the ear department; rabbit= gnaws on carrots, makes smart comments, refers to everyone as "doc". Shouldnt be too hard...

How well did you do at Lasalle?

Lasalle - no luck there yet. Been out twice, first time was more of just scouting where the likely spots would be. Went last friday, started at the eastern parking lot right at sunrise and went for 3 hours. Heard a couple but never saw them. Even ran into another fella who said he saw only 1 gray. Doesnt seem to be very active just yet.
