Harvest numbers are updated as deer are checked in via CheckIN Game. Numbers are raw data that have not been verified by Indiana DNR.

This information really is eye opening. I hunt Perry co and the county has a deer habitat of 87% and there have been only 119 deer harvested so far. In Lagrange county there is only 44% deer habitat and they have harvested 520 deer so far, Stueben county is 47% deer habitat and have harvested 508 deer so far this year. Seems to me there are a heck of alot more deer in these counties with less deer habitat then there is in Perry Co. or is it harder to hunt deer in Perry due to the larger number of acres and the deer are spread out more? I still do not know why the DNR made Perry co a 3 on the anterless deer from a 2 last year. We have killed the 2nd least amount of deer this year so far then we have in the last 10 years but for some reason they up the quota. Makes no sense to me.

Like many of southern Indiana counties,Perry most likely suffered heavy EHD losses last year. Generally takes 2-3 years for population to recover. State is also trending downward at moment.

It was 29,285 before gun last year, but the park hunts and half of the net hunts were after gun started last year as well.
