120k is gonna be a real stretch. Thinking same thing. I dont know anyone outside of here that's still hunting. Everybody gave up. Come to think of it, only my tight group of friends got any deer this year. Guys from work and several from my old company that stay in touch all blanked. Yikes. Feast or famine.

Deer hunting sites have been pretty quiet last few days. Goona need a late season push to get to 120.

Yep I agree my close group either gave up or switched to duck hunting. I'm shocked its at 114k. Lots of people hardly seen anything all year.

Archery season set a new record by a bunch…and it ain’t over yet.
37,462 as of this morning. That’s almost 3,000 more deer that the “Covid vacation” total season of 2020-2021.
Tough to tell but it appears the firearm and muzzleloader seasons are both down. Muzzleloader season is a bunch down.
It goes back to the old saying -“a full freezer is a full freezer”.

I like to see Switzerland and Ohio county numbers.

Switzerland been down each year listed. Not a good sign.

I'm glad I don't hunt Franklin county: 2888 to 992. That's about 2/3rd less deer. Franklin hunters all need to write IDNR.

Our numbers are down in Minnesota 2020--197,315 2021--184,698 2022--172,265 2023--154,239 and our muzzle loader season is over. Im not sure if there are any special hunts still going on. I heard a lot of complaints about wolf numbers this year from hunters bring deer into the shop. We have a new group that started up this year that is pushing the state to put on a wolf season, their membership is growing rapidly, hopefully together we will have a voice. (hunters4hunters). I really like how they make all the information available and easily accessible to find in one area. files.dnr.state.mn.us/wildlife/deer/reports/harvest/deerharvest_2022.pdf?v=2023.11.30-13.19.49

Warrick has held pretty steady the last 7 years with a total fluctuation of 75 (plus or minus) or so deer.

I think more people are crossbow hunting and killing them during the archery season. I will be curious to see how many non-residents killed deer this year as well. I think the deer population in my county is down but it seems like the hunter numbers have gone up.

2 straight year's of EHD outbreaks. 2022 was severe and widespread , 2023 was more isolated, but still suffered some losses. Have not emailed Joe with my post season report yet, honestly my home area is stable, and growing, but areas closer to Ohio river and other major waterways appear worst hit. I can't see IDNR lowering either counties bonus tags (both 2), with the quality of habiat both counties have, 1 or 2 good fawning year's without EHD , think herd will rebound quickily. JMO's
