My yote hunting partner and I decided to try some yote hunting before (Thur) the arctic air come rolling in. Our first set got some yotes fired up, but nothing showed. Our second set at a different spot is what we dream of. As soon as Ernie hit the call 2 coyotes were in the field and headed to us. While watching them come a couple hundred yrds up and down the rolls in the fields, they seemed to have disappeared. After a couple minutes of nothing, Ernie says there was one to our hard left behind us fixin to cross the road, I told him to hit the call again, sure enough the yote turned and headed strait to us. I have my cross-hairs on it just as we were going to stop it for the shot it turned to our right, after about 20 yrds I was out of safety zone due to Ernie being to my right and I could not shoot. Finally getting it stopped Ernie shot. Dead yote down We don't know what happened to the second yote, we were thinking the that maybe the yotes thought the calling was coming from farther out than we were and the first one crossed the road before we spotted the one that Ernie shot. We continued hunting having a single howl answer back but didn't show, we then got another pack fired up about 1/2 miles to our east, but nothing showed. I'm hoping the quick video will open for you all. A couple of thermal pics from the first set. Hope this link will open youtube.com/watch?v=xfobXzktQpc&si=qEQwy2AzrGAOhw1C

What optics are you guys using? ms660.... We both are running ATN 4k pro night vision on the guns, and we use he AGM Tipan 19 for thermal scan. Those thermal scanners are a game changer. A long way from my wheat light on a snowy night 45 yrs ago !

A long way from my wheat light on a snowy night 45 yrs ago ! I just bought an ATN X Sight LTV 3X9 night vision scope. I'm not sure if I'm going to like it or not. I may have to upgrade my illuminator light. The one that came with it is not very good. It will work out to 100 yards but not much farther. My friend has a Pulsar thermal that makes my scope seem bad, but at 3500 bucks I guess it should. What caller are you guys using?
