I posted this in the bobcat discussion, but thought it was interesting enough for its own thread. Found this fawn drug up under a cut cedar today. I’m thinking a bobcat kill. I saw this deer a couple weeks ago, its lower leg was broken about 6” up from the hoof, but otherwise looked healthy. Partially buried: Bite to the neck?

I hit a doe one year bow hunting in the evening, I tracked her about 100 yrds and decided to back out and look for her in the morning. I found her the next morning but a bobcat had already been on her, She was covered up with a big mound ofleaves.
Another time a doe got hit by a car next to the house and was laying in my hayfield so i drug her to the woods. The next day I just went to look to see if anything got on her yet and same thing she was covered in a mound of leaves. I hope they get that bobcat season passed casue they are lousy around me and have been for a few years now. I cannot leave a deer over night cause either a bobcat or coyote will get to them before the next morning.

Put a camera up there and see what's coming to it….perfect spot for a camera.

I’ve got several cameras in the area, none aimed right at it though. Maybe I’ll get out and pull cards sometime soon.
