If I ever had a little extra cash I might splurge on a .444 or maybe a 45/70 to use for Indiana whitetail!

243 or a .6 mm or 270 or 30-06 or the trusty.308 are all kind of my favorites and I have used them all over the country over the past years . But for IN I would likely use the .30-06 with a 150 gr PSP or the .243 with a 90 gr PSP partition bullet.

Marlin 30-30 and a .308 Savage 14 American Classic and maybe a Browning X/A Bolt in .308.

Where I hunt 100 yds is a long shot. I'd stick with my Ruger .44 mag. carbine.

I would be tempted to use a 40/65 or 45/70 loaded with real powder. Still, it would be rough to leave the flintlock behind. ;D

I'd use my Remington 700BDL in 30-06 that my dad gave me after he shot a nice mulie with it in Wyoming when him and my deceased uncle went out west in 1975. All I have ever shot with it is groundhogs using Accelerators.

Oh, the Browning Highwall in 45-70 would see action as well. Just looked at the ballistics with a 300gr Interlock and my load - I certainly can go 250yds - I've just made a decision; it's going to be my KY rifle next fall until it takes one.
