I think the season is all draw hunt only. To be sure, call the Missi office. Aron Showalter is the resident wildlife biologist and runs the hunts and answers questions

Take Care all And be Safe. Just a thought. If you don't mind the drive south to Clark County, IN, Hoosier National forest is 1,000's of acres of public land. I am 20 miles north of Indy and it is an easy 2 hour drive. I get off I65 at Henryville (exit 19) and just head west. Tons of access. If you are interested get a map of the accesses around that area. My son in law lives in Henryville and he can give you good directions. He has hunted that area for over 20 years. PM me if you would like his contact info.

daworz Roush Lake has no show drawings. After 4:30 open slots are filled by draw. Hint if it is raining and you don't mind getting wet or have a pop up blind you chances go up. Week days also can give a higher percent of getting drawn.

Dont recall how many people are actually drawn to hunt each session, but there was ALOT of cars parked and guys hunting in pairs. I thought you had to hunt by themselves and not take anyone? Maybe it changed this year, but I thought thats how it was in the past.

You can bring someone with you though to assist.

Talked to four other hunters today. Not much going on at Missi. One fella said he saw what he thought was a hen. That is it. Today I worked two set ups. First set up in the supplemental area off 650 I heard a gobbler ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE LAKE. Called for a couple hours at check in station K. No boys looking for girls. I did hear three gunshots though. Might have been hunting partners shooting at each other because of boredom.

Seriously though, they are roosting near Red Bridge. The area off 950 just to the east of there may make sense. Talked to two guys who heard them at the roost but had no idea where they came down. The area to the east with the yellow signs that limit access (not now) is heavy cover. May make sense. May try there tomorrow but am inclined to go back to the K check in. Found some spent #5 shells where I set up today, a little late. Don't sound like deer, quail or dove rounds to me. Hope springs eternal.... Good luck to you.

Yep. I live in Lafayette but my parents live not too far away. Not going to scout until evening before. I know the area I'm going to try.
