Any updates on the late season hunts on Mississinewa? Still havent been hearing any shots while fishing or mushroom hunting. Surely someone on here has been able to tackle the beast of the ole Missy and score a turkey this year?!!

I was told as of Wednesday only 11 birds taken. I did a simple calculation. I assumed a 22 day spring season and 15 hunters a day, even though 24 are chosen for each drawn day, to account for no shows. 11 birds harvested. That equates to a 3.33% success rate for Mississinewa. I think I will apply for a different draw next year..... Just sayin. Looking at the 2014 Spring harvest the two southern/western counties (Miami and Grant) were less than 10 birds. Quoting from memory (not very reliable) but I think I am right. Wabash county was 60+/- birds. That is where I hunted. Still a bust. Could be my skill set or lack thereof, but the odds are not in the hunter's favor at Missi. At least not this year.
