3pt buck Is that for cable and internet? Yes that's cable, Internet and 1 dvr box. Do you have any other TVs hooked up to cable w/boxes and are you using their equipment for internet access? The reason I ask is that we were doing the same thing. Fees, etc on equipment added $40.00 per month to our bill. We have 4 TVs hooked up to cable. I did away with the boxes on the 3 in the bedrooms and hooked the cable directly to the TVs. It works fine. We did keep the DVR in our living room. As far as the internet goes, we purchased an "approved" modem and wi-fi router to avoid paying monthly rental fees. That cost us $100.00. My bill went from $145.00 per month, to $105. If you divide the cost of modem/router by 12 months, that adds $8.00 per month back on for just one year, so my cost is now $113 for cable and internet per month for this year. But is will be $105.00 per month after that....until Time Warner decides to jack up my monthly bill again next year.... BTW...I saw an interview recently with a "big cheese" from Time Warner who was asked about losing so much cable business to internet streaming. He said it didn't matter since they provide both cable and internet in most areas and would just jack up the internet fees to cover their cable losses... Sad thing is, I have no other options for internet @ the speeds Time Warner offers where I live....so I have a feeling I'm not going to be happy after the next round of rate increases....

I bought a wi-fi router when I signed up a couple years ago. I don't guess I realized I could buy the modem also. Other than that it sounds like we're the same. I've just got the 1 box now in the living room and the bedrooms are hooked straight to the TV. Thanks for the info, I'll need to take a closer look at my bill to see how much that modem is costing me. I'd be happy with 105/mo. I wish we had more Internet options. Twc is my only good option here, too.

I am probably the odd man here but I don't have internet either. Just never needed it that bad. Not worth the money. No I Phone either.
