Just curious how many bucks each of you have let walk so far this season. I'm in a new and different part of my hunting life. Having killed a 140" deer a few years back, I find myself letting almost every buck walk waiting for one to top this. I can't decide a lot of times whether to take the buck or not. Just curious how many of you all let bucks walk all the time just waiting on the "perfect one". I guess it's just personal preference, but I'd like to know that I'm not alone!

Two not because of size but the shot wasn't a clear one. Nothing worse than a rushed or questionable shot.

Let walk or saw that I wouldn't shoot?
Let walk, could have without a doubt killed.....maybe 8 this year.
Saw that I wouldn't shoot maybe twice that many.

1 can think of 11 bucks that I've let walk that were in range. 1 was a shooter but at the edge of my range and no rangefinder so he walked. 3 of them have been decent bucks that likely would have shot other years. 1 of them I did draw on but couldn't get a good shot, don't know if that is considered letting walk or not. The rest were small deer.
There were more, big and small, that were out of range but those are ones that presented good opportunities.

I don't remember in archery, but it was several. In gun season, I let 3 walk opening day, one was a buck I may have shot in previous years. Then on day two, I let 3 pretty good bucks (I've killed plenty smaller) walk before killing the 4th one.

15 plus. Several in the 120 class range. Kinda have a 130 minimum and am gonna stick with it. Have over 20 deer mounted now and if I'm not gonna have it mounted I'm not gonna shot it.

At least 12 and all but one were in bow season. Only one since gun season opened and it's the only deer i have seen since saturday. If they don't get the heart thumping good they aren't worth shooting to me. I'd rather shoot does later in the year for freezer meat and pass on the young guys.

Seen, had a shot (all with bow) and passed: 5 different ones, one of them a couple times.

I have had shots on 6 different bucks that I have passed on because they were too little or not what I wanted to shoot. There was one buck I had come in opening morning of shotgun that I definitely would have taken but I was trying to get my 11 year old son a shot and it didn't work out.

Seen 0 bucks during bow season. Seen 2 opening day of firearms. Decided to take a 5 pt for the meat and being to busy with work to be able to hunt very much.

None! Killed the very first one that came into bow range. Just so happens to also be the biggest one I've ever taken with a bow. Now im absolutely happy just sitting with the kiddoes hoping they score too.

I have left more than a fair share of small bucks pass at least 12 different bucks but several of the same deer and one definite shooter. Poor angle and shot opportunity on the big guy.
