There’s no reason whatsoever that public land should ever be inaccessible to the public. Period. Public pays, the public can play. Can’t believe this is actually a thing. Hope these guys get off free of all charges when this is all said and done.

This all seems to be on going for years for years in them states there needs to be a final decision IMO The air space idea needs decided also…. If your feet aren’t on someone’s property then there’s no Trespassing IMO

Yes we are all well aware of these cases the fact still stands that they were acquitted on the first charge for the 2021 corner crossing. The facts of the case will stay the same in any other trial. So... As we stand today they were judged by a jury of their peers that unanimously agreed that they DID NOT break any trespass laws. And again, we will see the outcome of the civil case. I don't see the criminal case from 2020 going anywhere, all that's going to do is waste time and the state's money.

These charges lean in favor of the hunters in federal court. I could be wrong but I think the state court has already moved the case to federal.

Hope these guys get off free of all charges when this is all said and done. I hope so also but the problem with an acquittal is that nothing gets resolved permanently. This level of court doesn't count for "precedence" to legalize access. Sound silly but they are better off being found guilty and then win an appeal at a higher court. Heck of a risk though.

Two=way street...
Woodmaster elk hunted on a rancher in Wyoming. His ranch butted up against some public ground. The public access subject came up and the rancher said he used to give hunters an area that they could go through his property to the public ground. The public ground was tough to hunt because of the terrain and some of those hunters circled back onto his ranch and hunted. He caught them, prosecuted them and said no more.
We can be our own worst enemies.

They're all so disrespectful and care only about killing for trophies! Anyway they can, probably don't even buy a license! Dirtbags! I say this in jest, public is public though, not every guy is going to do the same as these.

True but this ranch owner is again probably not buying/or have bought the ground around this public parcel just because he likes the scenery that sits on his land, he bought this ground so he could have sole possession and control of the public ground in the middle. He's using the corner crossing gray area to keep people out. It may take a while but I think his time is up on this and the public ground users are going to get to use their ground FOR FREE! FREE! FREE!

O… I agree but as Woody pointed out give some folks a inch then they take a mile…. Some things are never easy enough or free enough for them.
I still believe there’s more to this case then what’s been said the corner laws have been on the books along time.I do agree folks shouldn’t be blocked from entry on any public land.

Well some people like to argue with rocks.
I disagree on the idea that not all the facts are not out there. Why would either side hide anything? At least what the hunters describe seems pretty legitimate if those are the facts I think the rest of the trials go the hunters way. As for given an inch and taking a mile you'll have that in any situation. If the hunters Woody described would have done their research they would have known what they were getting into. The research part is a whole lot easier now with on line maps and apps that let you know exactly where you are, topography, and property lines. I agree they should not have been hunting on that rancher's land.

Second time in the thread you took it personal. Stay with the Subject/facts or made up facts then and there won’t be any reason for someone to take it personal!
