Today's pickins, this will probably the last of the cucumbers for pickling the vines are stating to dry up. But will switch over to canning tomatoes and tomato juice later this week. Have about 6 more cantaloupe to pick in a couple days, they are about done as well. Also got the honey bottled up, I only pulled 15 frames so that there would be enough for the bees too make it through the winter Nice harvest! We picked one tomato this weekend. That's the only thing we have harvested so far.

My pickling cukes were still producing like crazy, but I made all the pickles we can eat (5 gallons sunshine pickles, 4 gallons sour dill, 2 gallons bread and butter and one gallon dill chips). Last week I pulled the vines and planted summer squash in their place.
Been getting a steady stream of tomatoes, picked a good batch of romas and made 24 half-pints of pizza sauce over the weekend.
Been pulling green onions as needed for recipes, need to look into preserving some.
Strange year for all of my pepper varieties, but they seem to be getting it in gear.

Green beans are getting close to done. We picked a good number of them, enough to not only can lots but to also give some away. Kohlrabi did fine this year too.
Corn... Bad year. Nothing
Tomatoes are ripening.
Swiss chard seemed to be fine too. Basil, we've got plenty of it, probably more than we need!
I have really only been in the garden a few times to pick the beans and once some Swiss chard, so I don't totally know what all is in there. Most of what I know comes from asking my parents and brothers and seeing what they bring in.

I planted a different kind due to that I could not find the Illini triple sweet seed.

I am not sure what variety of corn we planted. But now some of our other veggies are starting to be ready. I picked the first zucchini yesterday and our long beans are nearly done. The tomatoes on the other hand are ripening like nuts! We have about 5 varieties, including a purple one that my dad thinks are Abe Lincolns. There's also German Lunchbox (cherry tomato variety), and others. And peppers are close too. Plus I noted two of our white pumpkin variety are growing.

This might be our last zucchini. They are winding down. The okra is starting to produce good. We picked the first pumpkin. We counted close to 50 still in the garden. We might have a couple hit 50 lbs.

A couple of days pickins, basil, okra, tomatoes and maybe our last watermelon. The fresh basil sure does fill a room with it's aroma, even better when the wife was making spaghetti sauce. She canned 10 pints of tomato juice and 4 pints of spaghetti sauce. The okra plants sure do have a pretty blooms.
