I’d say it’s time for a bobcat season in many places across the state. I’d like just one for a full mount then not sure I’d want to take anymore after that.

I am for trapping them only(same as otters)…..Trapper’s have been releasing them for a long time they have earned the season!
Not sure why the DNR has as to be told to make a season…. Let them decide iMO

Politicians need to stay out of the game management business. Leave it to the professionals.
I like cats and I wouldn’t shoot a bobcat even if there was a season. that’s a personal decision .

Jack I have trail cam pics of them along our creek bottom here at home and I watched three of them sneaking and playing in the woods during a firearms opener a few years back at Matt’s. Also had one cross the road in front of me near the northern part of the county.

We may see one a year while deer hunting. They are not too numerous where I hunt. I’ll get a lot more coyotes on the trail camera than bobcats.
I heard one walking out from hunting one evening. It was maybe a 150 yards away. For such a small critter they can sure get loud. Makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up!

I'd shoot one if I could and not booger up the hide. I have a place that a full body mount would fit perfectly. None on trail cam, but they have been spotted both North and South of me.

Thanks, Greg. I didn't know there was a place to report sightings to DNR. I just reported the 3 I saw during this deer season.

I saw this. What do you think? Don't support it unless all infrared devices are allowed not just Drones. I also don't support this activity coming from Politicians vs the DNR rules process…..
