I don't have anything to offer here, I don't know anything about PETA.
However, the following is a comment from the URL posted above. I actually laughed out loud when I read it. It is in reference to President Obama.

Driving to church this morning on 56th street by eagle creek park, I found this shed just sitting in the grass by the road. It is not broken at all, I would live to have the other side. I have build a fly rod handle out of birch bark before, I think antler and birch bark combo would be even better. Ha anyone built a grip out of antler before? Mike Attachments:

Just as a followup.
I spoke with a maintenance guy at the park last weekend. I asked him if he thought there would be a reduction hunt at the park. He said not in 2012, he has not heard any talk about it. He said he would have heard if they were planning that for this season.
I am sure he is right, but on the other hand how much info is passed to the maintenance workers.
This was kind of funny. He said he couldn't even cut a branch without patrons up in arms about hurting a tree. Haha. Seriously?

It would be ideal for hunting. I know a couple people who have them and use them for their cars, bicycles, and kayaks. The stabilization in them is amazing. You are going to pay $250 to get it on your bow. Too pricey for me.
My camera is really heavy, the gopro is light and small, you wouldn't even know it was on your bow. However, I had purchased my camera before my son was born so we would catch the awe moments. So at this point it is just laying around the house. I may as well use it. The way I see it, there is always going to be vibration as long as the camera is attached to the bow. I am not a professional hunter nor am I a professional video guy. So whatever I take, it will be sufficient for me. Yes, I would love for it to come out amazing, which I think it will. I think it is really a matter of me practicing with the camera on the bow, so I will maintain the camera on the target even after the shot.
Do you think adding a stabilizer to my bow will help with reducing some of the vibration? I might get a good stabilizer and realist that out.

I am looking for a used blind. I have never used one before, but I thought I would try out turkey hunting with my bow.
I would like to keep it under $50 if anyone has one that they are wanting to toss.
Thanks. Mike

After reading the conversation on the forum about videoing hunts, I thought I would try to mount my HD video camera on my bow. I went to Lowes and purchases 90 degree steel bracket and some paint. This is what it looks like not painted and the wrong size screw on it. I just picked up a good wing screw to connect the camera to the mount. This picture also downy have the rubber between the camera and the mount, which will help reduce shock. This was a simple build, and it is going to look fine. Mike Attachments:

When I was in high school I hit a small buck on Rangeline Rd in Carmel, next to taco bell. I was delivering a pizza for PizzaKing. The pizza was a BBQ chicken. All the cheese slid off when the pizza hit my dashboard.
Crazy! I kept the antler that broke off for a number of years, I wish I still had it.

Just a followup.
I visited the couple that is going to let me hunt on their property. Very nice family. Truly midwestern farmers who care about their 2nd amendment rights.
I am truly blessed to have met these people.
As far as hunting goes, they have 3 tracts of woods, none greater than 30 acres. I will not be the sole hunter, there are two others that hunt, but do not hunt all that often. I just have to make arrangements with the owner prior to going out. Since he has issues with trespassers, there are several neighbors that keep an eye on the land. While I was riding with him around the property, we noticed tire tracks in the snow. He said someone has been back there probably stealing wood or hunting. I am just amazed how rude people are.
Another place you could see where coon hunters has cut the bottom of the fence to let the dog in. Rediculous. He Has fixed this issue many of times. He now has a CO keep an eye on the farm.
I told him I would help mend some of the fences and put up no trespass signs.
The land isn't much, but it isn't a far drive and there are deer in there.
Later. Mike
