What is the preferred bead of you other waterfowlers? Why? What are the pros and cons of each? Just trying to gather more info so I can go out this fall with the best information and chances to succeed. I've checked the ol Google but, it's difficult finding authentic info without finding someone trying to promote a brand. And, as we know, they primarily promote what they're given for free, not necessarily what's best. Thanks, Brandon. Bunch of marketing hype and here's why. Your eye CANNOT focus on something 28" away and something 15-40 yards away at the same time. The shotgun should be an extension of your hand, you use your finger to point at something and you are spot on if you sight down your finger, correct? The shotgun needs to be the same way. For a right handed shooter.......... Higher comb raises the point of impact. Comb further to the right (cast off) moves the point of impact to the right. When Dee Woolem fitted my shotgun to me, he took the bead off the barrel. he moved the comb around until I could hit an aspirin with a .38 cal rubber bullet shot out of the shotgun barrel (using an insert that he machined) propelled by a .209 shotgun primer at about 20 feet.

He says about 8-8.5 in most situations. Down to 6.5 when loaded, pulling a car and generator running. That's not bad all things considered!

The owners live at the north end of Scales Road up by the interstate. Yeah, they let them run except during deer season when they put them up. Maybe it's time to start trapping coyotes. Tell the owners that you are trapping and see what happens. I know if I catch a collared coyote it's a trophy!!

I saw one going across an open field at about 120 yards away and I could see his beard swaying side to side with every step it took. If I get a chance I'll set up where it went into the woods. Maybe Saturday. This was 6pm Central last night.

They will develop a trail between your pond and the shortest distance to a lake/river. A 220 set in the trail will take them out quickly. They are also smart critters, if you harass them at a certain location (small birdshot), they will typically avoid that area. Your recommending small bird shot would that be something like 3 1/2" 2's ? Lead shot, yes. That is much smaller than BBB's.

Get them out as soon as possible. They will start eating the biggest slowest fish first, and work their way down the fish size classes in the pond until all you have are small hard to catch fish and they will move on.
Do whatever you want to do, at what ever speed you want to do it. It all depends on what you want your fish population to be like. If it was my pond, I would do whatever it took to get them removed the same day I saw them. I have way too much $$$ wrapped up in fish to put up with that. That is exactly the same reason why I apply every year for a permit to legally shoot Great Blue Herons. After I lost over $1,000.00 worth of Hybrid Striped Bass one year I said enough is enough.

All I can say to this is Bring it, would not end well for those type of people...SF Woody I'd love to see them shipped off to Palestine without any access to American bank accounts or credit cards for at least a month and then ask them (especially the female protesters) if they still feel the same way.

You should be able to find out what pack it's from then, correct? Depends if they would take the time to look it up for me. Is there a hunting/trapping season on them up there? Aside from the SSS season that is.

ms660, they basically are the same but with a softer tip than the shockwaves. Which is the same as the Hornady SST's just a different colored tip. You might have to go with a crush rib sabot from MMP due to the bullets being .44 instead of .45. Pretty sure the crushed rib are Harvester. I think the 50/44 sabots are always green colored, at least every one I ever seen. 50/45cal can be a mish mash of color options. You are absolutely correct. Since I've been shooting without them I am forgetting stuff.

Tips on golf. Browning Citori O/U, 1 1/4 oz #6's going 1330 fps will send the ball a ways down the fairway. Don't worry about the divot, there won't be enough laying on the grass to put back. For putting, drop down to 1 1/8 oz #8's or 9's at 1150 fps. For a short putt, you can reload down to 3/4 oz @ 1150 fps. Even if his guy doesn't know much about golf. He sure does know a good shotgun. Lol I have around 150,000 rounds through mine. Bought new.

We sat out. Luke wanted to sleep in anyway. I got up to the big boomers and heavy rain. I needed to recharge anyway. We got 1" rain. We plan to be back for the afternoon hunt today. What big boomers? I never woke up. I had 2.25" in the gauge by the pond. The woods there is starting to get flooded. Pond is finally full!!
