I've had my State Property permit time ticking away since MOnday and haven't been able to drop a single trap. I'll actually get to set some tomorrow, but my time is up on 12-06. Gotta hit it hard. Shouldn't be too much of a stretch since the lake is dry and only have the litttle creek to set.

Drowned some steel after tree swinging in the fog. Had 2 rats swim out from under my feet at the first place I stopped to check, and 2 more about 10 feet in front of me as I was setting another spot. Kinda glad I was a little slow getting to that den.

Round one, 5 rats. One was just flat huge. The nosey kids that saw it swore it was a 30 pound beaver.

Well I finally got some steel out yesterday(6 buckets and 2 trail sets),then had to sit around and wait like a little kid at christmas.Went and checked the short line today and had 2 coon in buckets,1 bucket fired by a reacher, and 1 in a trail set.Thats about a 40% sucess rate,I will take that all season long. I pulled my line on the State property after work last night because of the impending flood. Had another guy out there that pulled some of his own. This is draw property that one person gets a permit for, mine is on the desk. I have to call the property manager tomorrow and find out who has the next session, and let my local CO know about my intruder.
