Mark Team 4 (Fuzzy Nut Busters) down for one. I went out yesterday and seen several, but the woods I hunt in turned out to be infested with skeeters. I only got one and had to leave before I looked like one big mosquito bite. Took a pic for the contest mid cleaning because I forgot to take one before and my phone locked up. Don't know what happened but getting it looked at tomorrow so I can post it for the team. Since the mosquitoes were so bad, I bought a Thermacell. Anyone use one of these while squirrel hunting? I've hunted in woods that had lots of mosquitoes, hope you don't come down with West Nile Disease. Down here I've not been bothered by them, BUT chiggers are another story!!

I got chiggers for the first time in about a month while squirrel hunting this weekend. Woke up this morning with bloody ankles.

1 more for team 2. Too many skeeters and too dang hot. But the Ruger Takedown is proving to be a very fine weapon with 5 for 5 now!

Went out Hunting for a few hours this morning and got 1 more for "Team 7". Saw only four, not exactly a great day for Squirrel Hunting.

thermacells are the cats meow I have learned the hard way so I don't go in the woods without a ThermaCell, they are good for fishing too.

Hotter than the Dickens today but I still got out, mainly because I wanted to try and take a squirrel with my newly refurbished, 1914 Marlin model 29 pump. She was successful as shown with pics here: huntingindiana.proboards.com/thread/50843/100-years-old-marlin-29Anyway, ended up with that fox and 2 grays for a total of 3 for the day. I took the 2 grays with my Ruger Takedown, mainly because I'm on a mission to see when I miss the first squirrel with it since I'm now 7/7 with her. I'm very impressed with that gun to say the least So, with 10 squirrels down now...time for dumplings!

Finally getting a chance to post from last weekend. Opening weekend was really good to me. Friday night the movement was sluggish and I was only able to pull one out. But what a difference the cold mornings made, the tree rats were everywhere. The model 60 was on and I limited out on Saturday and Sunday morning. Saturday morning Sunday morning Please add 11 to the total for team 6 Scott

I feel for ya Maddog, lots and lots of rain and flooding where I'm at near Fort Wayne. Good luck keeping it out; it looks like if you are north of Adams county you may be out of the rain that's coming, as long as there are no popups.

It was almost too hot to hunt but I managed to bring down three this morning for team 12. The ThermaCell worked over time this morning & I didn't like it clipped to my belt because of the heat but the mosquitoes would have eaten me up if I didn't have it.

Got one Squirrel Saturday morning for Team #7. Question: How does one post a photo?? I tried the other day but was unsuccessful. When I tried to place it on my post a message popped-up and and said it was too large?? But it wasn't nearly as large as most here. I am puzzled?
