I was not a fan of the ruger bolt action 44. Very light.

The out of production ruger auto carbine was awesome and my biggest regret selling.
The bolt was gone in A heartbeat

I'd like a Magnum Research semi-auto .22 WMR, but likely won't be getting one anytime soon. I start sending money out west for tag apps/points next month. those are nice but most 10/22s are If I was buying a magnum research gun if would be a desert eagle 50

I also like the Rugers, but they discontinued the 10/22s in .22 mag. The used ones on gun broker are going for more than the new Magnum Research rifles (which are very similar).

The carbine is just like the 10/22. I liked it. Not so much with the bolt action. Totally disappointed with it but maybe I hust got a lemon :-)

If you are talking accuracy mine actually shoots pretty good. I have a scope on it I'm not real crazy about but I specifically chose it because it had a touch longer eye relief than my typical scope choice....I didn't want my daughter to get dinged by it. But it shoots pretty good...

Yes, it was not what I felt to be accurate and I blamed it on the lightness of the gun. Open sights and 2 different scopes. It was not as accurate as the carbine.

Try one. I shoot one often when we do range day at my hunter ed classes. They are fantastic. I might just do it. I know Remington is a fine gun, and I need a light one. I'd like a semiauto, but it can get expensive buying a barrel for one. John, if you want a light 20 ga, look at the Franchi 48 AL. Mine is either 5 1/4 or 5 1/2 pounds. I'd really like to get a lightweight rifle that was big enough to use for caribou, moose and black bear. Fast enough to shoot a pretty flat trajectory for the longer shots, but still keeping it's weight around 6 1/2 pounds with full magazine, sling and scope. Just gotta figure out what caliber. Tikka T3 Lightweight or something like that. My Browning A-Bolt Mountain Ti in .243 weighs that, but the caliber is a bit small for longer shots.

After finding out my son could shoot my Savage ML-II, I wanted to get one for him. After looking at the price of what few are out there I think I'm going to have to pass.
Guess I'll have to get another handgun. Thinking a Springfield Mod.2.

The 870 is a fine pump gun...love the wingmaster series but the express is just as good if not nearly as pretty.
Not impressed with the 1187. I own a purpose built slug gun and its finicky about what slugs it'll cycle.
When it came time to buy a purpose built waterfowl gun I went with a winchester sx3. That is a great gun. If I were to ever need a semi auto slug gun again the 1187 would stay in the safe and I'd buy another sx3.
I hate to say that because I want to love all Remington's .... I really do.

The cheapest I found the other night after briefly searching was 3x as much as what I paid for mine.

Next on my list is 40' of angle iron and some lumber. I should take care of the iron tomorrow. Got a project in the works.
Next summer I would like to get a 22 semi auto handgun for raccoon disposal and a 44 mag. rifle for the wife and kids to hunt with. Any body have a suggestion for a low cost 22? I would like it to have a longer barrel.

Ouch. I've got 2....both SS but one plastic stock and one laminate. The plastic one was bought about 15 years ago and I think I paid $400 for it? The laminate is about 10 years old and it was maybe $700.
What are they going for? Must be a while since I looked.
Both mine are accutrigger models. I think...been a while since the plastic one was out of the safe. Its vicious to shoot because its so light.

Guess I'll have to get another handgun. Thinking a Springfield Mod.2. Some have sold recently on Dougs for $800. The Savage has the advantage of allowing him to use it for two seasons, not just the firearms season. Sold and asking price are two different things. I guess people pay the asking price because they want one badly, and they want it NOW.

I'm picking up my Palmetto State Armory AR Lower tomorrow from my FFL and the 5.56 Carbine Length M4 Profile Upper will be delivered on Wednesday. I'll have right at $500 in the complete AR. Needless to say, I'm stoked!

If I was to go buy a reasonable gun tomorrow, it'd be an xds compact in 45 or 9. Wanted one a while but was hoping they come out with more color options to match my xd. I'd like a 9 but already have plenty of 45 ammo.
Probably have to hold off longer though, I'll have a deer mount to pick up and pay for in a month or so.

Also like to mention that I sold my 4 wheeler yesterday and still have the cash on me... I'd really appreciate people not listing their XDs for sale on facebook. Seen several in the last 24hrs.... been tempted.
