LCH,
Shade and heavy dew is the only thing halfway saving my plot 40% chance (very subject to change) for Wednesday .

We got a good amount of rain tonight. I went out in the middle of it and broadcast my last 50 lbs of rye.
That was the last of the food plot work for this year, from here on it will be what it will be.

Fingers crossed they give back 🤣 I broadcasted 7 acres of turnip , rye, wheat , and oats into standing corn 10 days or so ago and it will finally get to germinate this week! Impromptu shot plot creation video on YouTube goes live tomorrow. Land was cleared , sprayed , rye planted , watered twice , and we expect rain to hit tonight and tomorrow night. I think I may go sit my reduction ryeway plot tomorrow if the weather follows the current script.

Clothes are all washed. Farmer got 3/4 of the field behind my house harvested last night so I ran and put up a camera. A friend of mine came over and we shot our bows a little. I shot one of my fletchings off. Lol! Not really sure what else I need to get done other than switch my field tips out for broadheads.

If have not already make sure you shoot a few arrows with a broadhead to ensure no adjustments need to be made. I know if yoy have a tuned bow they should hit exaclty where the field tip does. But not always, I normally have to move my sight a little between the two. good luck

Ok, prep (check) finally done. Farthest right is shot #1 at 20 yards. Walked the target slightly onto the neighbor's property and fired at the bottom target at an estimated 30 yards. Went to get the rangefinder to make sure and it was 29 yards. Went back and took another step back and fired at the yellow jacket. Bow's still good to go!

esshup....There in Indiana, down near Cale in Martin County. Been going down since before we had it, was a friends that sold it to my Pop. Probably going down for 45 years, he bought it about 25 years ago though. Now it's his resting place...Thank you..SF Woody Condolences, but that is pretty cool that you made him a part of a very special place to you guys! Thank you all...wanted to try this tapas talk to see if I could post a picture finally, won't have to bug Woody anymore. Pops resting spot...good luck to all this season, can't wait to get back home...SF Woody

I still haven’t been out to hunt here at home. Been watching the cameras, waiting for a shooter to show up before going out.
Looking at my leave, I should be able to take a bunch of 1/2 days off work in November to hunt AM and PM. I’ll schedule those on the better weather days.

I got the cover on my ghillie blind and the frame resecured to the hay wagon. Chair added along with some carpet for noise reduction. I eliminated the rubber floor after last season due to the dadgum mice. I have the little buddy heater and death grip tripod inside as well. I also placed a camera mounting device on the front edge of the hay wagon. Hopefully I'll get some good pics from that. Hay wagon is attached to the truck and ready to be drug out to the woods on Wednesday afternoon.

A little bit of last-minute “season prep” - just fired off a few rounds from my selected rifle for Saturday. All good!
