Hmm...so the popularity of a belief is evidence enough to verify the truth of it?
Are there various truths for the various parts pf the world? In some, the prevailing faith is and has been non-Christian since...well, before Christ is said to have walked the earth.
Logic does seem to cross borders more readily, although there are many places where it's also the minority "belief".
Met, does (2) above apply even if one is trying to rescue the non-believer or believer in a different "truth" from their erroneous belief system? If so, doesn't that make ALL proselytism "uncool"
I'd stayed out of this discussion 'til now, but have been watching and maybe growling a little, like an old rabbit dog laying on the porch while a bunny hops around on the lawn.
I went fishing one day last week and one cast towards the shore got tangled in some low overhanging branches. Being somewhat frugal by nature, I moved the boat under the branch and started to reach in and untangle the line. That's when I heard the buzzing and saw the movement of about thirty angry residents of a softball sized nest on that branch very near where my line was tangled.
Last week, I had the good sense to back the boat away quickly and cut the line, even though it violated my frugal nature and my ecological concerns about leaving evidence of my presence behind.
This week, not so much..... 8^)

2 Timothy 4:3-4 The time is coming when people won’t listen to good teaching. Instead, they will look for teachers who will please them by telling them only what they are itching to hear. They will turn from the truth and eagerly listen to senseless stories.
The time is now.
