Ruger 77/44 all weather thumbs up! Love it with a Nikon ProStaff scope. A really good deer gun. My only minor complaint is it seems a tad clumsy getting the magazine out - could be my fumbly hands though.
My next toy - a GOOD electronic game call. I have a pal in Illinois that uses one of those Mosin- Nagants for coyotes. I think he paid $125 for it. Man it reaches way out there and puts them down..

I have 3. One ML-I that wears a laminate stock with a Rifle Basix trigger, .50 cal One ML-I that is still unfired in the box. I sold it 2 years ago to a guy that just had to have it, a year later I bought it back when he got into a money pinch. Somehow he lost the breechplug. It is at Savage getting a replacement. I guess he took everything out of the box and had it scattered around the house. One Stainless ML-II that I purchased from a guy on Dougs, and RB in AR/Rick Bibby (who passed away a few years ago) did a 3rd pillar bedding job on it and filled the mag well with weight and epoxy. It is in the factory camo Tupperware stock. I converted it with a Pac-Nor .45 cal. barrel. E-bay has new breech plugs. www.ebay.com/itm/Savage-10ML-II-Breech-Plug-Factory-New-Breechplug-/281885068812?hash=item41a1a8ce0c:g:z5IAAOxyi-ZTb3T2Thanks. Those would work with the newer one, but the ML-I needs to be headspaced on the module that holds the primer. The ML-I and ML-II use a different breechplug.

I haven't heard much about those two calibers in years. I was, at one time going to have a .14 Hornet built on a Sako Model 78 Hornet rifle, but never did. Got both cartridges in my cartridge collection + a .14 Flea cartridge, which is based on a .32 ACP necked down to .14 caliber.

Either a Remington 750 woodsmaster in 30-06 or a Ruger mini14 in .223.... Probably the Remington.... Decisions decisions. I hope the 750 has had some changes done to it to make it more reliable than the late production 742's. Those are nicknamed jamb-a-matics up North. My 742 purchased in 1975 is OK, but the later ones had problems. Thanks,I'll see if I can find out anything.

Next is tear down tree stands, blinds, repair what needs it, start cleaning property up for sale this spring. Start boxing up and sorting hunting equipment. Won't start thinking about new weapons until next summer/fall when we are settled into a new location.
