We don't have the resources or the space for elk to prosper like in Kentucky, they could LIVE here, but not prosper..

The age thing reallt gets to me. I'll get in a conversations about hunting and wildlife management, and the adults in the group with look at me like I should shut up, because I'm to "young ",alot of time by the end of the conversations the adults are dumbfounded. not trying to brag or anything but i have left my teachers dumbfounded with some of my points and views on hunting. Alot of them now support it and leave it alone, when they used to be very opinionated about it. Age should never be a factor. Only knowledge.

I can sit all day, but i always see more deer when i still hunt. If its not the rut, alot of times with the right weapon and scent control, it can be the most effective way. It's a lost art of hunting. I spend less time still hunting, usually because i shoot a deer faster and don't have to wait for the last 15 mins of the day to start seeing deer. During the rut though i find it almost stupid to still hunt, as the deer are moving and you have much less of a chance being spotted in a treestand. As for the smelling of the deer, I have smelled rutting bucks and dead deer as far as 200 yards away. If you take the time to use all of your senses, still hunting can be the best way to hunt.

"Serves him right for trying to kill innocent animals. Deer one, hunter zero." A comment from one of the people on there, I don't know if that person would still be standing up if he said the comment to me...

The wolves they stocked were one the caught in alberta, and like deer the farther north you go the bigger they get. They finally opened a season this year for them. you buy 2 hunting and 3 trapping tags. You can use the 2 hunting towards your trapping quota.
